Easton Chiropractor | Dr. Eugene L. Packer, D.C.
People often ask me why I became a chiropractor and I always tell them the story about my father...

My dad was an athlete in high school and in college. He was captain of his high school track team. I still have a cigar box full of medals and ribbons that he won.
When he was in the service during World War II, he was injured and developed severe lower back pain that worked down into his legs and feet. He was told that he had a permanent disability because of this very painful condition. He considered several types of medical procedures including surgery, nerve blocks and even severing nerves to his feet. He decided not to undergo any of these drastic, invasive procedures.
A friend convinced him to give a chiropractor a try. He had his spine adjusted. The adjustment didn't hurt. It actually felt good and he got relief that he was looking for and he got his life back. Chiropractic worked so well for him that when I graduated from Indiana University, he convinced me to go to Chiropractic College. I think he wanted to be a chiropractor himself.
It's strange how life is, because now people come to me with their back problems. They also come to me with their headaches, migraines, chronic pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, whiplash from car accidents, ear infections, asthma, indigestion, pain and numbness in their arms and legs, sports injuries and that's just to name a few.
